On Saturday morning, at 12:54 a.m., two Madison men flagged down a police officer at the intersection of N. Frances Street and University Avenue. They reported they were just battered in the 400 block of N. Frances. Four men had confronted them, and demanded money. One victim put a hand in his pocket to show he had no cash. Both were then punched in the head. The blow to one caused him to reel back, and as he did so, his cell phone fell from a pocket. The muggers grabbed it and ran. |
