Details On Monday night, a 36-year old Madison man turned the tables on a would-be robber. The victim had stepped outside of a South Park Street business to have a cigarette. He was standing on an outside staircase, about four steps up, when he noticed a man at the bottom of the stairs. The man pulled out a small knife, and ordered the victim to turn over his wallet. The victim responded by delivering a hard kick to the robber's face. The blow knocked him over, and when he righted himself he took off running south on Park Street. He got nothing from the victim, save for likely facial injuries. The victim suffered no injuries however, he did report that his foot was still hurting. A police dog was brought to the scene, but the suspect was not found. The victim said he was slurring his speech, and he thought the man was either drunk or on drugs.
