Bridgewater was walking near Carroll/Gorham St when he began arguing with a female associate. Bridgewater put the female in a head-lock and head-butted the female. Two males who did not know Brigewater or the female, witnessed this disturbance and tried to break it up. Bridgewater let go of the female and began to fight the males. The two males suffered minor injuries as a result of punches from Bridgewater. A Madison Police Officer working a traffic post assignment, witnessed this second altercation and tried to break it up. Bridgewater pushed the officer and then ran off. The officer, now along with two more officers chased after Bridgewater. Bridgewater became combative and punched the police officer in the head several times. With officers delivering countermeasures to Bridgewater, he continued to fight and punch the officer. Several more officers responded to the location and eventually Bridgewater was taken into custody on the above-listed charges. The police officer did not require immediate medical attention. |
