On Halloween night, shortly after 11:00 p.m., a 42-year old Madison man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after being punched inside a downtown bar. Witnesses say the victim had purchased a drink when a reveler dressed in a Wizard Of Oz flying monkey suit tried to take the victim's change. The masked man punched the victim several times after being confronted about the money. The victim fell, and hit his head. He was last known to be in critical, but stable condition. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening. Investigators are in the process of following up on leads regarding the masked man's possible identity. |
