On Tuesday afternoon, a little after 4:00 p.m., a 21-year old Madison driver failed to stop for a red light and hit a bicyclist, who was crossing Park Street at W. Wingra Drive. Witnesses said the driver was northbound on S. Park Street when he collided with the 33-year old Madison man. The victim rolled up and over the driver's Jeep, and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. It was determined that he had a skull fracture. Doctors indicated he would likely recover from the injury. The driver was cited (see above for details). |
