On Monday, March 10, 2008, a 21 year-old Madison man was operating his laptop computer while seated inside a Madison Metro Bus, which had stopped at the West Transfer Point. He says a teenage suspect slapped or punched him in the face, grabbed his laptop, and took off running. The victim says the thief had an accomplice and he pursued both teens as they took off toward South Whitney Way and Odana Road. He was unable to catch the culprits, but a responding police officer was successful. The suspects were taken into custody near Vitense Golfland on Schroeder Road. The computer was recovered and returned to its owner. |
