On Monday around 1:27 p.m. an 82-year-old woman was loading groceries into her car when a thief ran up and grabbed her purse from the cart and took off. She could only describe the culprit as a light-skinned black male. The Madison Police Department would advise shoppers not to leave purses in grocery carts. An alternative would be to carry a fanny pack containing only the items needed (cash, credit card, driver's license etc.) for shopping. |
