Title: Poetry in Sidewalks
Media: Stamped Concrete

Williamson Street's Poetry in Sidewalks project places poems or excerpts from Madison's Past Poet Laureates and Other extraordinary figures into sidewalks as new sections of sidewalk are poured. This pilot program was supported by generous contributions from the Weary Traveler, Plan B, Broom Street Theater, many neighborhood residents and friends, and the City of Madison. The community effort to pilot this project was led by Scott Thornton, President of the Marquette Neighborhood Association (MNA) and the MNA Public Art Committee Chairperson, Sharon Kilfoy.
