MISSION: The Broadband Telecommunications Regula-
tory Board is a group of citizens
appointed by the mayor to advise on
issues relating to cable & broadband
communications. The BTRB works with the
City Cable Coordinator to review the
performance of cable franchisee; mediate
disputes or complaints; assure that
pertinent reports/information are avail-
able to the public; advise on franchise
selection, renewal and transfer; monitor
performance of the public access and
govt channels; serve as resource on al-
location of franchise fee & other funds
to the public & govt access channels.
The BTRB serves as a venue to air issues
of importance to the citizens of Madison
regarding cable service, and to encour-
age cable operators' performance in the
service of the city and its public.
