MISSION: Publicly canvass the returns of every
local election; the canvass begins
within 24 hours after the polls close;
board shall prepare a statement showing
the results of each election for any
municipal office and each municipal
referendum; after each primary for
municipal office, the board prepares a
statement certifying the names of
persons who have won nomination; after
each election for a municipal office and
each municipal referendum, the board
prepares a determination showing names
of the persons elected and the results
of the referenda; board files statements
and determinations in City Clerk's
Office; if a 'recount' is necessary,
board reconvenes to recount ballots and
check facts.
