It was another great day for the third annual graduation day for the nearly 200 youngters who took swimming lessons at the Goodman Pool as a result of a partnership between Madison Parks, the Madison Parks Foundation, the Shelley Glover Sports Education Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club and the Irwin A and Robert D Goodman Foundation.
As a result of this great partnership, these children are able to get transportation to and from the pool, learn very important skills and participate in a wonderful program. It's another example of how through partnerships, we can really make a difference in a child's life.
Pictured above are Parks Department Employee Maya Thibault, Carmella Glover of the Shelley Glover Foundation, Michael Johnson of the Boys and Girls Club and three young swimmers singled out for their great efforts this year Anyah Brown, Derion Howkin-Whitelow and Dulcinea Wells DeCastillo.
Many thanks again to all the great partners who made this another great year for these kids at the pool!
