Mayor's Neighborhood Conference 2016

September 1, 2016 9:44 AM

The 20th anniversary of the Mayor's Neighborhood Conference is going to be Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, located at One John Nolan Drive, Madison, WI. This year's theme is People-Places-Possibilities, Working Together to Make a Better Community.

Registration (link below) is $15 (includes breakfast, lunch, tours and over 15 workshops). Childcare assistance, fee waivers and interpreters are available. Attendance is expected by a variety of people from community leaders, local neighborhood residents, to government officials who will all work together to help make Madison a better place.

In an effort to activate and foster greater interaction within our neighborhoods, three lucky areas will be offered a $2000 grant for placemaking! The focus for this year's grants will be on "activities and projects" within a Madison park that serves your neighborhood. Your attendance will determine the eligibility of your neighborhood to be chosen.
