Shop Small This Weekend!

November 22, 2016 4:50 PM

The Saturday after Thanksgiving has become known as Small Business Saturday; a day to thank and support the small businesses in our community that make Madison unique. Spend time with your family visiting one of Madison's unique shopping districts.

The last few weeks have been emotional for many of us. As we look for ways to make positive impacts in our community please remember the power we all have over where our dollars are spent.

If you would like to make a positive impact this holiday season, consider supporting two buy local events with your family this weekend.

Black Business Expo

Friday, November 25, 2016  10:00 am-3:00 pm

The Village on Park, 2300 South Park Street

Support businesses owned by African American entrepreneurs! Free admission, gift wrapping and family friendly!

Small Business Saturday

Where? Any small business in Madison!

The link above will direct you to the shops that have registered with the national event, however, you can participate by spending money at any local small business.

As an example, Monroe Street alone has over 60 independently owned businesses!  There are, of course, many unique shops throughout the City. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Happy Shopping!
