This year the Dane County Employee Group Associations and the City of Madison teamed up to help keep the annual Host-A-Family tradition going.
Departments each received a family's needs/wants list and collected donations to purchase the items that those families requested. Agencies also shopped and coordinated with a Social Worker to arrange pick up/drop off of the gifts.
Here in the Mayor's Office I was happy to open up our conference rooms to wrap gifts along with the Finance department and have a joyful pizza party!
I would like to thank everyone who participated to help make this a successful event. This one small thing we did that demonstrates the kind of generosity that happens every day in our community. Let's continue the good work through 2017!
