There are so many reasons that summer is a wonderful time in Madison, and one of them is Make Music Madison. The all-day, all-city music festival is on the summer solstice, June 21 and there is again a full line up of venues, performances, and wonderful musicians all over the city.
For detailed information on the performances throughout the city and the day, check out the Make Music Madison website.
You can take a look at the above map in more detail on the website, but this just gives you an idea of all the wonderful opportunities we will have on the 21st.
Make Music Madison may be Performed by Anyone, Enjoyed by Everyone, but it still takes a dedicated team of volunteers to bring it all together. My thanks to the organization's small board comprised primarily of group leads for larger teams of volunteers who focus on venues, musicians, matchmaking, mass appeal events, technology, publicity, and fundraising. There is one part-time paid position of executive director to lead dozens of volunteers.
Board members Elizabeth Simcock, Mark Fairchild, Jamie Kember, Beth Mastin, Sue Peck, and Kelsey Miles have been working to make this day a success for many months. If you want to join them fun and help grow Madison's musical kickoff to summer, email them at email@example.com
