If it seems like you are noticing some really, really fit people in and around Madison this week, you are right!  We are hosting the 2017 Reebok CrossFit games and we have thousands of athletes, families, spectators, and volunteers in Madison.

CrossFit is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a timed or scored workout. Running, biking, rowing, push-ups, pull-ups, squats, snatches, clean and jerks, handstands, odd-object lifts, and countless other movements may be combined in an infinite number of ways.

The CrossFit Games week features the world's fittest 40 men, 40 women, 40 teams, 40 teenage competitors, and 200 masters (athletes who are 40+). The Games week is a festival of fitness, with fans from around the globe coming to watch the competition while also connecting with fellow CrossFitters, trainers, and affiliate owners.

The Games also includes a Vendor Village, centered at the Alliant Energy Center, which hosts large activation areas from sponsors such as Reebok, Rogue Fitness and LifeProof, and exhibitor booths from more than 100 other Companies and organizations focused on the CrossFit lifestyle and consumer. CrossFit offers training sessions for spectators with Subject Matter Experts as well as a spectator workout area. Food trucks on site will serve meals that our clean-eating spectators want to eat.

Let's work with the Madison Sports Commission, the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau, hotels and restaurants throughout the area in welcoming our many visitors to our City this week.

The characteristics of a CrossFit athlete include clean eating, a "Work Hard, Play Hard" mentality, adventurous, enjoyment of craft cocktails & beer, socializing, appreciation of the outdoors, and trying new things.  With that in mind, Madison is a great place for them to be!  We hope everyone enjoys their stay!
