Hispanic Heritage Month

September 13, 2017 2:22 PM

This Friday begins the National Hispanic Heritage Month and the City of Madison and the Latino Community Engagement Team (LCET) wants to give recognition to those who are involved or belong to the Latino/Hispanic community. The Common Council and I passed a Resolution recognizing such.

As part of the celebration the LCET has released a newsletter that helps raise awareness, provides information about the Latino community, lists upcoming events, shares recipes and more!

I am looking forward to the planned events this month, and hope you will join me.  As Madisonians, we appreciate the positive influence, heritage, and culture of the Hispanics/Latinos who have chosen the City of Madison as their home.  We are a richer community because they are part of it!
