I am really looking forward to joining dozens of entrepreneurs and hundreds of local residents next week at the Spring Taste of the Madison Public Market. Join us, Saturday, April 21 from 10-2. The event will be held at the downtown Madison College facility, 211 North Carroll.
This event is a great way to celebrate local entrepreneurship and experience what our Public Market will be.
Over 20 local entrepreneurs will be offering FREE samples of their delicious, unique food and handmade goods. Come hungry! Larger portions will be available for purchase.
The theme of the event is cheese! The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is sponsoring a FREE cheese tasting featuring a wide variety of award-winning Wisconsin cheeses.
This family-friendly event will also include children's activities sponsored by Madison Public Library. Chocolate Shoppe will be offering free ice cream.
Some of the local merchants who will be involved include:
Madame Chu (Singaporean sauces and meals)
Melly Mel's (Soul food)
Tortillas Los Angeles (tortillas)
Brown Rice & Honey (vegan, tribal sourced and indigenous ingredients)
SuperCharge! Foods (micro greens and juice)
Artesan Fruit (carved fruit and chocolate fountain)
Perfect Imperfections (skin and body care products)
Yaseen Handicrafts (hand dyed scarves and jewelry)
Coco Vaa (chocolates)
Chocolate Shoppe (ice cream)
Just Coffee (coffee)
Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (variety of Wisconsin cheese)
Underground Food Collective (cured meats and sandwiches)
Salsa Man Salsa (salsa and chips)
I am told the list is growing, so expect a smorgasbord of food, drink, jewelry, crafts and of course cheese!
The Dane County Farmer's Market will be open, so swing by the farmer's market and stop in the public market for a day of Madison's best food and crafts!
