The Madison Scouts in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

November 24, 2014 3:59 PM

It was great to honor the alumni and leadership from the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps at last week's Common Council meeting. It was one of many send-offs for them as they prepared to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!  We congratulated them with a Mayoral Proclamation and a standing ovation from the Council and everyone in attendance.

Tune in with about 50-million of your friends and neighbors from around the world on Thanksgiving morning to see the 150 member corps joined by 276 alumni in what they are calling Madison Scouts-Corps of Brothers. There will be another three-million lining the parade route in downtown Manhattan.  You can't miss them as they will be the group right in front of Santa Claus!

The Madison Scouts celebrated their 75th anniversary this summer.  With musicians ranging in age from 15 to 75 joining together on Thursday, this is a wonderful way to commemorate a great group!
