The Meadowood Neighborhood Center has been a vibrant and yet very crowded center for a number of years and I am really pleased that it will soon be much larger and able to accomodate an active neighborhood! As you can see below, there isn't a lot of space that isn't being used now.
But with the recent opening of the new Meadowood Library, space has freed up. This photo was taken during construction which should be coming to an end soon. The new space will feature study space for students, teen space and community space and will even include a community kitchen! I look forward to the grand opening February 10th at 6:00 p.m. with Alder Matt Phair and other leaders in the neighborhood and with Madison School and Community Recreation (MSCR).
Alder Phair and many others, from City staff to neighborhood leaders, have invested time and energy into this project and it will be a wonderful center to add to this vibrant neighborhood.
