Food Chains Screening

March 26, 2015 11:21 AM

If you're looking for an alternative to tonight's basketball game, join me for a screening of the movie Food Chains at the Monona Terrace at 6 pm.  The movie examines the plight of tomato farm laborers in Florida in an agricultural system dominated by large retailers and fast food restaurants. Florida's farm workers, tomato farmers and socially conscious large retailers have come together to form the Fair Food Program in a struggle to raise wages for farm workers and improve working conditions.

Following the screening, there will be an informal discussion about the reactions to the film.

See you there!
