100 Black Men of Madison African American History Challenge Bowl Blog

April 15, 2015 1:21 PM

This weekend was the 21st Annual 100 Black Men of Madison African American History Challenge Bowl! Congratulations to Jefferson Middle School, who took home first place this year! They will now go on to compete at the National 100 Black Men of America Conference against other chapters. I know that they will make Madison proud!

History Bowl Winners?

The annual History Challenge Bowl brings together 12 Madison Middle Schools to battle it out on their knowledge of African American History. First, second, and third place winters receive trophies and a monetary award for their efforts while all student participants receive a medal of achievement. It provides a great opportunity for our young people to learn and interact with other young people their age.  100 Black Men is an organization that is involved in many activities and programs that make Madison a better place to live.  I truly appreciate all their work.
