Kids Build Weekend Workshops

January 7, 2016 4:40 PM

If you are looking for some family-friendly fun on Saturday, January 9th be sure to head over to the North Central Regional Council of Carpenters' "Kids Build" weekend workshop!

The free two-hour workshop from 10 am to noon invites children, ages 5-12, to make wood projects at the carpenter training center. From benches to bookends, to wood cars and jewelry hangers, kids have the opportunity to be creative while learning something new. They will leave with their project and a certificate of completion.

No materials are required but all kids should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Southern Carpenter Training Center is located at 5202 Monument Lane in Madison. If you're not able to make it this Saturday, be sure to save February 13th, March 12th, April 9th, or May 4th.

What a wonderful way to foster interest in a great vocation!
