On Wednesday, March 3rd, I was proud to join Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl (pictured above), Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell, members of the Dane County NAACP, the League of Women Voters, and VoteRiders to launch Voter ID month across Dane County.
The goal of Voter ID month is to find and assist voters who do not have a valid ID to vote; second, to ensure all voters with an ID feel confident that they have everything they need to vote under this new law. Trained volunteers will be reaching out to voters at locations throughout the county this month, including at all Madison Public libraries March 12.
We additionally announced big news: to help voters obtain an ID easily, Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell created a partnership with Union Cab to provide FREE rides to voters anywhere in Dane County to the DMV to get that ID.
Call 608-729-7720 for any questions you have on what ID you need to vote, or to arrange a ride to the DMV.
Together we can reach voters who do not have a qualifying ID and help them get everything they need to vote on April 5. Friends help friends get an ID so they can vote!
