Close followers of my acting career know of my stage work in a cameo appearance in the Middleton Players production of "Ragtime" in 2004, the Madison Rep production of "Our Town" in 2006 and most recently in last season's Madison Children's Theater production of "A Christmas Carol." My film credits include two appearances in the hit You Tube series "Chad Vader."
Critics of my work have advised me to keep my day job, and characterizations of my performances have often included words like "wooden." Gary Cooper was similarly misunderstood.
Now fans have a new offering, and it's my largest role ever. In this independent film produced by City Channel's own Chris Lang a bike cop from Boulder is sent to clean up our town after the mayor (played by me) is blackmailed by radical alternative energy advocates into replacing all the police squad cars with bicycles. Chris put this no budget, highly creative project together in only one weekend in response to a challenge for independent film makers everywhere.
Since its release a few weeks ago I have been sitting by the phone waiting for calls from agents, and my staff has a standing order to put either Steven Spielberg or Francis Ford Coppola right through. So far nothing. I assume they're on vacation or something.
