Hey, Ride!

October 10, 2009 10:33 AM

Madison Parks is sponsoring fun new ways for people to get out and enjoy the best season in the Midwest.

You can enjoy a cool nature walk in one of our conservation parks. This Sunday, October 10th there's a fall color walk at Cherokee Marsh and on November 1st there's an evening walk to look and listen for owls and other creatures followed by a bonfire and hot cider. (Just the ticket to work off that nervous energy after the Packers crush the Vikings that day.)

And now until November 22nd you and your group can enjoy a hay ride through Elver, Olin or Warner Parks. The rides can accommodate up to 24 people and they include a camp fire with 'smores. There's a charge for the hay rides and the conservation park walks are free.

This is some great fall family fun stuff. You can get more information at http://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/hayrides.html.
