MISSION
Advisory to the Transit & Parking Comm. It is the duty of the subcom to monitor compliance by Metro Transit in providing complementary paratransit/transit service in the Metro Transit service area in accord with Americans with Disabilities Act and regulations. The Subcom. shall regularly assess the provision of ADA complementary paratransit & fixed route services to persons with disabilities in the Metro Transit service area, maximizing transp options for everyone. The Subcom. shall identify issues & recommend policies to the TPC to address them, taking into account budget & service capacity limits & complaints. The body has an affirmative duty to seek public input & consultation with persons with disabilities & their reps in the Metro Transit service area.
