MISSION
The commission shall: a)prepare/adopt/ amend with Mayor's & Dir of Plng & Devel approval an annual plan/guidelines to carry out Madison Art Comm. plan for adoption by the Council, which shall include, but not be limited to method(s) for selection of artists/works of art, incl visual & perf arts & for placement of works of art; b) purchase works of art or commission design/execution &/or placement of works of art & provide payment from the Fund; c) require all proposed outdoor works of art for purchase or commission be presented for site and design concept review; d) adopt rules & regulations, approved by the Council, consistent with this ordinance to facilitate the implementation of its responsibilities hereunder.
