Five Days of
Free Rides on Clean Air Action Days*
What is a
Clean Air Action Day?
It is part
of a larger, voluntary campaign sponsored by the Dane
County Clean Air Action
Coalition to help maintain
local air quality.
During up to five
days each summer, Metro helps reduce ground-level
ozone by providing free fixed-route rides.
Riding Metro
helps reduce ground-level ozone that can reach
unhealthy levels for sensitive groups active adults,
children, older adults and people with asthma who are
outside for long periods of time.
Free-ride
Clean Air Action days are announced one day ahead of
when weather indications indicate ozone levels will
reach a high level.
Watch or
listen for Clean Air Action Days announcements on your
favorite TV or radio station or posted at
mymetrobus.com or
cityofmadison.com.
