Metro Paratransit Agency Fare Proposal

On Thursday, November 5, Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transit and Parking Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed Agency Fares to tentatively go into effect in January, 2010.

PROPOSAL

The proposal states:

The current formula with respect to ADA Complementary Paratransit for contracted ADA paratransit, the cost per trip or trip cost, is Metro Transit’s previous year’s audited cost per ride, by mode, adjusted by Madison to reflect current year variables in service expenses.

An Agency Fare is supported by an organization as defined in 49 CFR Part 604, Appendix A  “Listing of Federal Programs Providing Transportation Assistance” and said agency is responsible for arranging and/or providing specialized transportation schedules and/or pays for the trip on behalf of the paratransit customer.

The impact of current coordinating funding and service programs for Metro
   Paratransit

Potential impact on Metro services if not able to maintain agency funding in the
   future

•  How the proposal affects agencies identified by the proposal

•  How the proposal affects individuals served by agencies identified in the proposal

•  How the proposal would be implemented
