SOUTH TRANSFER POINT SERVICE UPDATES
Now in Effect

Check Your Trip!

Several improvements have been made to improve service
coordination at the South Transfer Point.

Route 40

More consistent schedule for Route 40. Evening trips will depart
on the half-hour seven days a week, and arrive back just before
the hour. Trips that depart on the half-hour operate via Grandview
and Hatchery Hill (except during peak periods on weekdays, when
all trips operate via Todd and Greenway Cross).

Routes 18 & 40

Improved coordination of Route 18 and 40 trips operating south of
the Beltline. Route 18 trips that use the South Frontage Rd.
(via Coho and/or Raymond) will alternate with Route 40 trips that also serve this area during middays, evenings and weekends.

Passengers will have greater opportunity to travel every 30 minutes in this area, where either of the available route schedules have bus stops in common with each other.

Routes 4, 5, & 13

Improved coordination of Route 4, 5 and 13 trips operating to downtown/campus. Route 5 and 13 trips that directly serve either the downtown via W. Washington or campus via Park St. will alternate with Route 4 trips that serve both the campus area and downtown during evenings and weekends.

Passengers will have greater opportunity to travel every 30 minutes in this area, where the available route schedules have bus stops in common with each other (at the South Transfer Point - or downtown/campus area).

Notes:

  • Route 40 currently departs on the hour on weeknights, but on the half-hour all day and night on weekends.

  • Route 40 currently serves the South Beltline Frontage Road area once an hour on weekday evenings - at the same time as do the hourly Route 18 trips via Coho.

  • Routes 4 and 5 (from downtown) currently both arrive on the hour on weeknights at the South Transfer Point. Only Route 13, from campus, arrives on the half-hour (no direct trip from downtown arrives on half-hour).

  • Routes 4 and 5 (towards downtown) currently both depart on the hour on weekends from the South Transfer Point. Only Route 13, towards campus, departs on the half-hour (no direct trip towards downtown departs on the half-hour).
