Transit Operator

Do you have a passion for people? Do you enjoy interactions with customers and driving the Madison area? Are you looking for a rewarding career? Metro Transit is now hiring for permanent part-time bus operators. No experience driving a bus required. Full-time positions are filled by part-time employees.

This is responsible work driving buses on supplemental school routes to transport passengers in the City of Madison and surrounding areas. Employees must exercise skill and judgment in operating transit vehicles in a safe, reliable and courteous manner. Work is performed under the direction of one or more Transit Operations Supervisors.

Transit Finance Manager

The City of Madison Metro Transit is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to manage the financial and fiscal operations of Metro Transit. The position is responsible for preparing the capital and operating budgets; developing fiscal controls and systems; overseeing payroll and purchasing; including supervising use of the City's finance-specific software; coordinating the integration of grant funding into financial systems; and preparing related analysis and recommendations.
