Proposed New Bus Stop Locations

Monroe St. is scheduled for reconstruction in 2018.

To improve safety and schedule reliability, Metro staff are proposing the relocation and elimination of certain stops to go into effect after the project has been completed.

Maps below show Metro staff bus stop location recommendations.

proposed locations

  • To address pedestrian safety concerns, all proposed stops are located ‘far side’ or after intersections. This will increase visibility for drivers and pedestrians while crossing Monroe St.

  • Overall consolidation leads to six less stops than current arrangement, which helps to improve on-time performance.

  • Average distance between proposed stop locations is roughly 2.5 blocks or 1,000 feet.

  • Proposed locations are not yet finalized at this time.
