Please check your 31-day passes and 10-ride cards!

Due to a computer error, a batch of bus passes that have already been sold expired on December 31, 2010.

Please check the serial number on your 31-day pass and/or 10-ride card. You may have an item that needs to be replaced.

Fare items that have expired are:

  • Adult 31-Day Passes:
Serial numbers LESS THAN 156401
  • Adult 10-Ride Cards
Serial numbers LESS THAN 482000
  • Senior/Disabled 10-Ride Cards:
Serial numbers LESS THAN 96001
  • Youth 10-Ride Cards:
Serial number LESS THAN 383018


These are the only items that need to be replaced.

All other expired passes/cards will not be valid to board.

Bring your pass/10-ride card to Metro Transit, 1245 E. Washington Ave.

Office hours are Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

You’ll be issued a NEW fare item, and you’ll receive a FREE Metro promotional item as supplies last.


Promotional items available are:

  • Metro color calendar
  • Pass or 10-ride card holder
  • Reusable shopping bags

(One promotional item per returned pass)

If you would like to mail your item for replacement, please send to: Metro Transit, Pass Replacement, 1245 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53703.

Make sure to include your return address and indicate which promotion item you would like to receive.
