Thanks for Coming!

Metro Transit, The City of Madison Fire Department and over 25 other public and private organizations gathered at the Capitol Square on Saturday for a day full of safety education and fun!

Children and their parents came out to learn how to prevent accidents, make safe decisions, and still have fun! Demonstrations and interactive displays included taking a tour of a Metro bus and City fire engine, learning how to properly approach animals, bike helmet fittings and a live martial arts performance.

The Metro team enjoyed giving helpful riding advice, handing out bike reflectors and watching the children
learn about bus safety. Each child also got the chance to sit in the driver’s seat for a great photo opt!
