Proposed August Service Adjustments
Wednesday, April 10; 6:00 PM
215 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Room 260 (Madison Municipal Building)
On Wednesday, April 10, Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transit and Parking Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 PM to discuss service changes proposed to go into effect in August.
Route 2 represents the absolute core of Metro’s transit system, running from the West to the North Transfer Points, every 30 minutes, 7 days a week. However, there are several major issues facing the route:
Cheaper options had to be considered, and while there will be 15 minute frequency during rush hours west of the Capitol Square, the route will see other improvements through the use of parallel routes that can be timed to make Route 2 function better, without the large expense.
Interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing to give feedback. Consideration will be given to views and comments expressed at the public hearing as well as to all written comments received.
Comments can be submitted at mymetrobus.com/feedback. Written comments can also be sent to: Metro Transit Public Hearing Comments, 1245 E. Washington Ave., Suite 201, Madison WI 53703 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
