Crime Stoppers Fundraiser Slated For September 17th
Kevin and Jean Zimmermann will help host the second annual Brittany Zimmermann 5k Run/Walk on Saturday morning, September 17th.
The charity event starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Memorial Union, with the course following the scenic Howard Temin Lakeshore Path.
There is a $20 entry fee with proceeds going to the Madison Area Crime Stoppers reward fund. More information can be found at: www.madisonareacrimestoppers.org.
The Zimmermann's are committed to making Madison a safer community and are proud to have this event named for their daughter.
The men and women of the Madison Police Department, and the University Police Department are proud to partner with the Zimmermann's and Madison Area Crime Stoppers, raising funds to fight crime, while remembering and honoring Brittany.
Brittany was attending UW-Madison when she was murdered inside her downtown apartment in April of 2008. Madison Police detectives continue to work the unsolved homicide. There is a private reward fund of $40,000 available in Brittany's case. Tips can be called into the Madison Area Crime Stoppers line at 608-266-6014.Contacts:
