Burn Ban Lifted in the City of Madison

Monday, April 16, 2012 - 2:42am

The recent rainfall minimizes concern for outdoor burning in the City of Madison; however the high winds should temporarily limit burning.  Given the rainfall, the City has lifted the ban.
Approved outdoor fireplaces and fire pits may now be used.  Prairie and/or natural lawn burns, approved by permits, may also be conducted.  More information can be found in the Outdoor and Open Burning Guide.
The City of Madison Fire Department would like to thank the Madison residents on following the ban and keeping your community safe.
