Fire caused heavy damage to a vacant home at 3913 Goodland Drive this morning. Several callers reported the flames to the Dane County 911 Center and firefighters were dispatched at 4:26 AM. The first fire crews responded from Station 10 and reported fire and heavy smoke coming through the home's roof.
Firefighters attacked the flames with two hoselines and had the fire knocked down within fifteen minutes of their arrival. No one was living in the home due to renovation work. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Damage to the home is estimated at $100,000 and the cause remains under investigation.Contacts:
