Mayor Nominates Paul Kronberger as Information Technology Director

Madison - Mayor Dave Cieslewicz has named Paul Kronberger as the City's Information Technology Director. Kronberger is currently a Senior Account Executive at Symphony Corporation. He previously served as Information Technology Director for the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
"Paul is an experienced manager who's spent his career in IT," Mayor Cieslewicz said. "He understands the key role IT plays in city services, and I'm pleased to welcome him to city government."
"After working in state and local government as well as the private sector, I am eager to return to local government," Kronberger said. "I look forward to helping support City agencies in the delivery of services to residents."
In addition to managing the IT Bureau at the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Kronberger also served as the IT Director for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. He has additional experience as a project manager for the Wisconsin Department of Administration, heading up statewide Y2K preparation and as an IT manager for the City of Milwaukee IT Department.
Kronberger's confirmation is on tonight's Board of Estimates agenda. Pending confirmation by BOE and the Common Council, Kronberger's start date is scheduled for February 1.
