City of Madison firefighters expect to be more visible than usual this week as they take up posts around the City to Fill the Boot with donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Madison Local 311 along with the Madison Fire Department will be participating in the 1st Annual Fill the Boot (FTB) on duty and on the street to benefit MDA.
Crews will be out today through Thursday, 4:00 - 6:00 pm. All money raised will benefit families in Dane County battling a neuromuscular disease.
In the interests of safety and to avoid traffic tie-ups, all participating firefighters will be wearing safety vests and collect donations only when lights are red.
