As a positive community alternative to the Mifflin Street Block Party, District 2 Alderperson Bridget Maniaci will host a neighborhood clean-up of the James Madison Park Neighborhood on Saturday, May 1, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The clean-up will be conducted by neighborhood residents and the East High School 10th Grade Congress. "We're planning a positive day where the youth of our community will join with neighbors to take an active role in making our neighborhood a better place," Ald. Maniaci said.

Residents interested in helping with the clean-up are asked to meet on the corner of E. Mifflin and N. Franklin Streets at 1:00 p.m. Trash bags and recycling bags will be provided, and volunteers are asked to bring along a rake and a pair of work gloves if they have either.
