Citizens from around the country have contacted the Mayor's office regarding the recent incident involving a 15-year-old girl. The information below is being shared because people have asked how they could help.
Family wants to acknowledge outpouring of support, provide for future treatment and education of victim
(Madison, Wis.) Today the maternal cousin, a victim advocate, of a 15 year-old girl recently rescued from an environment of child abuse and neglect in Madison, Wisconsin spoke publicly to thank supporters for an outpouring of well-wishes, and to inform the public that a trust fund has been created in the child's name: "Building the future for SLC Trust*."
The trust will be used for enriching and enhancing the quality of SLC's life, especially supplemental and extra health care not otherwise available as well as, educational expenses, and to bring enjoyment and new positive experiences to her life. Members of the public can donate by visiting any Marine Credit Union branch or mailing a contribution made out to "Building the Future for SLC Trust" to Marine Credit Union, PO Box 510, Waupun, WI 53963.
