High Point Road Water Tower To be Repainted This Spring

Madison-The Madison Water Utility has contracted with Aero Painting, Inc. to repaint the steel water tower at 910 South High Point Road. Work is expected to begin the week of April 13 and last for two months, although preliminary setup may begin earlier. No water service interruption is anticipated during this project.

The final color of the tower has not yet been chosen, but the design will be a two-tone pattern similar to that shown in the attached photograph, which shows a water tower off Sprecher Road, east of the Interstate and south of Milwaukee Street. The two-tone color approach has proven to be effective at hiding surface stains that occur due to condensation on the tank exterior.
