Trash Collection Along Lakes Mendota and Monona Shorelines

Madison - The City of Madison has contracted with Dane County to collect trash along the shorelines of Lake Mendota and Lake Monona within the city. City residents with piers should place any collected trash on the end of their piers for easier clean up. The Dane County crew will start trash collection on June 1, 2009, in Lake Monona and start Lake Mendota a week later on June 8. Trash collection will alternate on a weekly basis between the two lakes through August 28th.
