Mansion Hill Neighborhood Meeting - Proposed Apartment Building

Monday, October 19, 2009 at 7 p.m., Holy Redeemer Catholic Church

Madison - Ald. Mike Verveer is holding a meeting for residents to learn about and provide feedback on a proposal to redevelop the parking lot behind Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on the 100 Block of West Gorham Street.

Silverstone Partners is proposing to construct a five story building with 46 apartments designed as moderate income workforce housing. The building will be replacing approximately 43 surface parking stalls. The building will be four stories along West Gorham Street before stepping up to five stories in height. The exterior architecture of the new building will be complimentary to the adjacent church and school. The existing West Gorham Street driveway will provide vehicular access to the building and the adjacent Holy Redeemer Church and school building. Parking for residents of the new apartments will be provided under the building.
