Metro Encourages Paratransit Riders to Dress for the Weather and Take Shorter Trips Due to Extreme Heat

During extreme heat, the interiors of Metro paratransit vehicles tend to get warmer due to doors being open frequently and for extended periods of time while passengers board and disembark.

Paratransit passengers are encouraged to follow the following travel tips to ensure a more comfortable ride.

1. Wear short-sleeves and other clothing types that will help keep you cool.

2. Bring water along when you travel.

3. Opt for shorter trips whenever possible.


Paratransit riders are also reminded that all STANDING paratransit rides will be cancelled on Wednesday, July 4 due to the holiday. Passengers must schedule a casual ride before 4:30 PM today to travel tomorrow.
