Two More Days of Snow Removal Operations Set

The Streets Division will be conducting snow removal operations on several streets this week. Snow removal operations will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and continue as late as 2 p.m. Additional snow removal operations for later in the week will be announced as soon as a decision on where the operations will take place. Snow Removal will cause delays for traffic and motorists are urged to find alternate routes. "The warm weather forecast for the coming days may alter our snow removal plans," George Dreckmann of the Streets Division said. "We will post additional streets for snow removal should it be necessary." The snow removal schedule is as follows. Monday February 9th Spaight St. from S. Baldwin St. to S. Patterson St. Kendall Av. from Lathrop St. to Highland Av. Madison St. from Oakland Av. to Regent St. Tuesday February 10th S. Mills St. from Regent St. to Spring St. Franklin St. from Kendall Av. to University Av. Regent St. from Franklin St. to Larkin St. S. Bedford St. from W. Washington Av. to W. Wilson St. W. Wilson St. from S. Bedford St. to S. Broom St. Parking is being temporarily restricted on the sections of the affected streets. Bright orange temporary "No Parking" signs have been posted. Vehicles must be moved by 7 a.m. in the areas where snow removal will take place. Violators will be ticketed and towed.
