New Procedures Will Be Implemented Monday, March 14th

Those planning on attending downtown demonstrations and rallies - this includes media members and others looking to secure longer term parking spots - are advised that the City of Madison will implement new procedures beginning Monday, March 14th, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Normal parking rules and regulations will be enforced, and no meters will be restricted by the Madison Police Department (MPD) unless an *emergent situation arises. Street parking meters must be utilized by all vehicles during the regularly posted hours. Should media organizations or other groups wish to reserve a meter(s) for a day or longer, the cost of a meter hood is $1, and there will be per day charge of $15 for each parking space, Monday through Saturday. Questions and inquiries can be directed to the following: Madison Parking Utility: Bags and Meter reservations.
