Annual Dog Park Spring Cleanup - Saturday, March 26 The annual volunteer spring cleanup will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 8 a.m. to noon at local dog exercise parks in Madison and the surrounding communities. "Madison Parks is pleased to partner with Dane County Parks in hosting the spring cleanup event," said Parks Superintendant Kevin Briski. "This year we are excited to have two new off-leash dog parks at Demetral Park and McCormick Greenspace. The opening of these dog parks was the culmination of Madison Parks and our park patrons coming together to find a solution for more off-leash areas." Volunteers are asked to bring a scooper to the park where they will be met by a team leader with garbage bags. Those interested in serving as team leaders for the cleanup should contact Dog Park Cleanup Coordinator Pete Blawat at (608) 516-8057. Participating parks include: City of Madison (Warner, Quann, Brittingham, Demetral, McCormick Green Space and Sycamore), Dane County (Badger Prairie, Indian Lake, Prairie Moraine-Tower Site, Yahara Heights, Token Creek and Viking), Sun Prairie Pet Exercise Area and the Middleton Dog Park located on Hwy Q.
